How billing works
What is a tether?
One channel on one platform connected to one channel on another. #support in Slack linked to #support in Teams is one tether.
Who pays for a tether?
Only the organization that creates it. The other side installs TetherChat in their own workspace and pays nothing for that tether.
When am I charged?
Billing is monthly and prepaid, in USD. All your tethers are paid for at once before the month starts (for example, on September 29 for October). A tether created mid-month is charged its monthly rate when you create it.
What does 10 tethers cost?
Your first tether each month is free. On Business, the other 9 cost $45 a month. On Enterprise, it's $77.50 a month (9 × $7.50 plus the $10 platform fee), plus $15 once at setup.
Are the Enterprise fees per tether?
No. The $10 platform fee is charged once per month per organization, no matter how many tethers you run. The $15 setup fee is charged once per organization.
Do you store our messages?
No. TetherChat relays messages in real time without storing them. Messages live in your Slack, Teams, or Discord workspace only.
